Why dungeon runners shut down

I feel like they have stumbled onto something great with KB: The Legend and Armored Princess, but everything after these games has been the studio searching for the next great thing. Sadly they aren't able to figure out a good sequel. Something similar happened to Disciples after the second game. On a positive note, first and second King's Bounty games are still a lot of fun, and I return to them often. Ah, Blade of Darkness. I enjoyed some seriously tense moments with that game way back.

Too bad the author of the piece doesn't know how to string together a decent essay. I was hoping the writer would have dived deeper into the game. Now we end up with a few surface level anecdotes. Also the way they flip the script at the end is really awkward and the justification for why it's not actually like Dark Souls are just I don't know, face-palm worthy. Well, this is disappointing. The older games still stand up, I will stick to playing them.

So does Wasteland 3, which has also been referred to as "tactical". May be "tactical" just translates into "more tactical than original Fallout", since that's what all these games are based on. Unfortunately they won't give us any explanation as to why content is pushed back more and more. Take Chii Advancement for example. From Chii release to her Advancement it took 1 month in KR. Now we have to wait months for her advancement. Which is not that much to translate at all. Mistakes are made and problems occur thats fine.

But you have to admit mistakes, be open about them and try to improve. Because we are not getting information about what is actually going on i came to the conclusion that they moved ressources away from the game due to sinking revenue and to cut costs. More players, more people spending money, more profit. As of now GF is doing their best to lose players. Doesn't code merge mean we have almost the same game as KR? They did a code merge and dropped languages in the promise to deliver updates faster.

Yet updates get pushed back even more. Sure they won't announce it that early. People would stop spending money as soon as they announce it. Let's be honest the game is not that big. Also updates are not that big. So why the hell is everything taking that long? Their playerbase is really small Fast answer: No in this year.

Fast explanation: All mmorpgs games will be closed soon of after but this game is alive enough. They would get fired if they don't do that. This for you maybe means nothing, but in game server resources this means that the game can work with WAY less server resources to work than a open world game. This means less money to pay to servers. This mean more worth money every month.

This means less money needs to make it worth. Logic 4-Speculate in things that just gameforge knows, that means waste of time. Last edited by Mer Hel ; 10 Nov, pm. I haven't met a single person that likes GF or says it would be a great publisher :D And i never said i would be happy if SW would get shut down.

I really like the game but we miss out on so much the game has to offer. And it's gettin bigger each month. Unfortunately i think if they don't step up their game they'll lose. With PSO2 in spring , which is the godfather of dungeon runners like SW, the future of SW doesn't look bright with their update schedule of 1 update every months. Let's hope they surprise us though.
