Since your in NZ it sould be pretty easy to get ahold of some Aussie 2V heads, right? Joined: Jun 29, Posts: 1, Profile Page. I ran a strong clevo in my XYGT a while back. Most good suppliers will know it and should be able to supply it,or something close to the same grind.

I never understood the point of putting Cleveland heads on a wendsor. Why not use the Cleveland block? Some are 4 bolts and they use the same trans as a wendsor. I had a 4V cleveland and that was one runnin sumbitch. They also have a few oiling issues, but those are easily corrected, and shouldn't keep you from running one if you got it! TQ cam, eh? Man, haven't heard anyone mention THAT one in a while!

All the fords ran clevelands from '71 here. If they were wider, you wouldn't be able to run those Price MS adapters because the intake would already be too wide Flat Ernie , Aug 9, Joined: Mar 26, Posts: Profile Page. I helped a buddy do that conversion long ago. He was trying to save money over just buying aftermarket Windsor stuff. The most he could get out of the 2Vs with a reasonable port volume was around cfm. He had a home-built flowbench in the garage, so he spent probably hours and at least 5 sets of heads finding a port he liked porting each runner differently , then when he went to port the final set, he hit water on the 7th hole!

Man was he pissed! He got so mad, that me and my buddy sat there and watched him cut that head in half with a hacksaw to see how thick the port was in cross-section! He only stopped long enough to grab another tall-boy and cuss! We offered to help, but it was personal with him at that point. It ran pretty good when it was done, but we all agreed, with the aftermarket Wr.

The biggest obstacle always is the intake. If plan on using a 2v head I wouldnt waste the time and energy with that head. Y Shortblocks Been there done that We elected to stay 4V heads as we ran them on the W we ran for a few years..

Also the low end increase was lost on the top.. Just me Long rod now working. Working on Mexican Block CI. When you are too OLD to shift a 4 spd I am Legendary. Cleveland 4V heads on a Windsor block? On a serious side, I "might" be doing a Clevor in the near future. Depending on how things go I'll be sure to Post about it. Stay tuned All the modifications are easily duplicated by a quality machine shop if needed on a standard 4v head. Does the Boss head already have all the water passages in the head blocked, and what about the water passage to the thermostat or is the block different and set up like a cleveland??

Thanks JohnnyJ. Thus using the flow of the engines Just me
