I know this might be a silly question but I was reading some information about ovulation and I was wondering is it possible that even after the trigger shot you don't ovulate? Answer Question. Read Responses. Also - if done too close to ovulation or after ovulation it can also screw up TTC. Helpful - 0. I was just wondering because I didn't always ovulate just with Clomid, so this was my first time with Clomid, injectibles and IUI, so I was wondering even though I had an ultrasound and it showed 3 follicles and then did my trigger shot and was thinking it's possible I don't ovulate.
Tanker Chic. One of my cycles my temp didn't go up after the trigger shot like i would have expected it to. When I called my RE, the told me there was NO way with confirmed mature follicles that I did not ovulate with hcg trigger shot.
I did get BFP so he was right. I have also read that it is somewhat common to develope mature follicles on clomid but not ovulate. The chance of this increases for doses of mg and more. With all the said, there may be some small possiblity that even with trigger shot to not ovulate but if you have mature follicles, I wouldn't worry about that.
If there is a chance that it didn't happen, it is probably very small. Congrats on your IUI!! Best of luck. Thanks so much, that information was so helpful and I really appreciate. I know you are excited about seeing your little one.
It's the best thing in the world, my little one is already 2. Time goes by so fast. I hope I to get a BFP! Thanks again. I would ovulate very LATE after taking clomid around cd 23 but I ovulate right on time with the trigger.
I was worried about it in the beginning as well because my ovulation would hurt on clomid and I did not feel anything after the trigger.
But progesterone and ultrasound has confirmed ovulation 3 months now so I would not worry, I am sure you are fine. You know that's why I think you guys are so great. If I have a question usually one of you guys can answer or shed some light on the subject and I just want to thank you guys for being so helpful. So Thanks! This is a great thread and I'm really glad I found it because we are going for a follicle scan on CD13 and possibly getting the HcG trigger this cycle if we have mature follicles from the mg Clomid.
I probably should just relax!! Report 0 Reply to Post. Re: Not ovulating on Ovidrel? May I don't know how to tell if it works or not though. I always worry too Report 0 Reply. Loading the player I triggered yesterday morning. Okay so the avg I think is 36 hours after? Are you having an IUI? No we are trying on our own. I am just worried about not feeling ovulation this time.
The doctors and I discussed whether I should trigger tonight or tomorrow night. Last month we were too early, so we decided to go later. Now I'm regretting that, but I also don't want to just trigger tonight without my doc permission. I'm going to call them first thing in the morning and see if they want me to trigger tomorrow morning and go in on Wednesday instead of Thursday.
Everything else looks great good follicles and lining I just want to get the timing right. DH has no issues so we wanted to cover our bases knowing my body was going to ovulate earlier. We will never know what worked for us that cycle but I do believe IUI was a tad late, though not totally wasted This has happened to me the past two cycles. Only I got my surge the day I was supposed to trigger. The first time it happened, the nurse told me that was okay and we would still do the IUI 36hrs after trigger.
That cycle was a bust , and I had 5 follicles, two of good size on cd Last week, same thing happened so I called the nurse and was kind of demanding and asked for the doctor.
I was really annoyed. We still continued with IUI 36hrs later. Hoping it wasn't too late. I'm only 6dpiui today. Good luck and let us know what they tell you!!!! This happened to me this last cycle I ovulated the Friday before my IUI. Hopefully everything works out for you And the doctor is able to tell you what to do Don't stress out.
She is basing this on my follicle size being 14 and 16 yesterday. They recommended the first option, saying the second would weaken the sperm sample they get. They said the lh surge could be due to the 26mm which they think is a probably a cyst and that they want to rely more on the follicle size than the opk.
I'm still worried that I will miss my window and ovulate before I trigger tonight, but I am trying to remind myself if the doctors not concerned about the timing, maybe I shouldn't be either.
I hope that it's enough, even if I do ovulate before the iui We strive to provide you with a high quality community experience.
