Are there diesel mini coopers

It's a , and is a great car. Dealership has treated me well, the car runs like a dream, etc. I love it. Curious if any of these have the major engine issues. I've heard horror stories with previous models?

Answer: My Mini never had a breakdown, but there was a recall for some issue in the engine that would eventually have had a broken-down engine. It was caught and fixed, but I was never notified of the recall until I went in for a different issue. It's hit or miss. Mine had issues but knew someone who had a model a few years older than mine who had no issues at all. It's a gamble with Minis. Answer: I really don't know, sorry. I've seen reports that the older models need oil every 2, mi.

I don't see any reference to or Answer: No idea, as I didn't get that much mileage on my vehicle due to my low commute and other driving. That being said, I didn't go more than six months without an oil change.

Are German cars, but made in Mexico for the U. Answer: I really don't know how to answer that. I've only owned six or so cars, and they all had issues eventually.

I will say the recalls on my MINI were severe, and if I didn't address them, the car may have broken down at one point. Answer: Consult the owner's manual, but I believe I used premium gas in the vehicle as it was required. The cost difference isn't that bad and it is good for the engine. Answer: or , I don't recall since I don't own it anymore, but it was around that time-frame. I traded it in after about five years due to the warranty running out and not having a local dealership to service it.

Answer: Starting around the model, yes, they do have a backup camera. However, there are aftermarket options you can get as well depending on the model you have. Answer: All cars eventually have problems, and considering it's almost 20 years old, I'm sure there have been some problems reported that you could find about elsewhere online. If you are buying used, you may want to go with a newer model, unless that one has something you like about it.

Is it worth the risk? Answer: I felt it was at the time because I enjoyed the look of the car, driving it, etc. It was a great car. I only traded it in when the warranty expired and I had to drive an hour out of town to get it serviced at a dealership. If you have a dealership in your city that can service it, then I think it would be worth the risk. Besides, mine didn't outwardly have problems with it, it just had some recalls that needed to be resolved.

Had it broken down due to those recalls though, I wouldn't have had it fixed so easily because of the distance to my dealership. Looking for the best space heater for your RV this Winter? Muscle cars from the 60's and 70's has a hold on any car fan. All manufacturers were outdoing each with bigger V8's, more horsepower. For less than a decade the design of these monster machines was something to behold. They were fast - very fast - on the street or drag strip. Now expensive and rare. Here's a complete list of tips for starting your own very successful car flipping business. Generally, performance is strong, and the strong pull in the mid-range much more than in the old engine means you dont need to rev the unit as hard as you do with the petrol alternative.

That means the two engines have very different characters. The petrol model is the more exciting and sporty because it needs to be worked hard, whereas you can be a little lazier with the diesel, relying on its mid-range pull to haul you along at a perfectly acceptable rate.

The only problem comes if you let the revs drop much below rpm. Amble round a tight turn in town in second gear, for example, and theres a distinct lull in proceedings until the turbocharger kicks the engine into life. Coinciding with the introduction of this engine is what can only be described as a very minor facelift: revised bumpers at both ends, as well as a new black cross-piece below the front number plate and new-look rear lights. That may sound like a lot, but even with the new and old cars side-by-side, youll be hard-pressed to spot the differences.

There are also new wheels and paint colours to choose from, revised trims inside, and some new options. These include adaptive headlights and Mini Connected, an in-car infotainment system that is controlled by Minis version of BMWs iDrive. At around 48, miles 77, Yet the Cooper SD manages a claimed average fuel consumption of 4. Keen-eyed readers will also note that there is only an "S" badge on the Mini's grille, but a full "SD" badge on its rear.

Given the Mini's sporty nature, one can only assume that the rear is mostly what the designers expected everyone to see at the local traffic lights grand prix. Whatever the reason, the new Mini SD promises to be quite a peppy little car with great fuel economy. And, if previous models are anything to go by, a popular one too.
